Talks

As a way to enrich our community through shared experiences, expert opinions and intimate discussions, we organise a variety of talks throughout the year for our members and the larger community.

Past discussion topics have so far included, women working in the cycling industry, bike-packing and pushing limits long-distance.

Upcoming talks

12/05/26: Bikefitting yourself (members only)

We’re excited to welcome sports medicine specialist Dr. Marie Hechtermans for a members-only evening focused on keeping yourself healthy, on and off the bike.

The night will be split into two informative sessions.

First, training load and recovery: How to balance riding and recovery, to better understand what your body is telling you, and how nutrition fits into the picture—followed by a Q&A.

Secondly, saddle discomfort: Perineal health, what’s normal, what’s not, and how to stay comfortable in the saddle. Again with time for your questions.

The evening will provide insights into women’s health but the takeaways are relevant for all members.

Past talks

03 February 2026: “Cycling Stories: Women pushing their limits” (open to all)

An evening of inspiration and insights as CCC members Charlotte and Clothilde talk about the very different, but similarly hardcore, challenges that they undertook last summer. Clothilde completed her first ultra-distance race, while Charlotte cycled from Brussels to Istanbul. The talk aimed to inspire participants to push their own limits and try new things.

This talk was open to all. Non-members were asked for a small solidarity donation.

12 May 2025: “Bike-packing: From Holidays to Ultra distance challenges” (open to all)

As summer approached, participants were invited to come and get inspired to plan their next adventures! We heared from Delphine Morel de Westgraver who has participated in a number of ultra-distance cycling races, and Noé Auger who holidayed by bike in various corners of Europe.

This talk was open to all. Non-members were asked for a small solidarity donation

24 February 2025: “Women working in cycling” (open to all)

Anouk Flesch, a Professional Cycling Photographer and Ellen De Broyer, a bike shop owner and mechanic shared their experiences in the professional world of cycling. The good, the bad and everything inbetween. Participants got a sneak peek at what it’s like not just to love cycling as an amateur but to live it for work and beyond.

This talk was open to all. Non-members were asked for a small solidarity donation
